CFS MN Made Ammonia Project Featured in Faribault County Register

Mar 25, 2026

Central Farm Service (CFS), alongside TalusAg and CleanCounts, was recently featured in the Faribault County Register for an exciting new collaboration focused on building local ammonia production in Blue Earth and Truman, Minnesota.

This innovative project would mark the first time locally produced ammonia fertilizer is commercially available in the region, helping bring more stability, reliability, and control to a critical crop input. By producing ammonia locally using energy from Blue Earth Light & Water, this effort aims to reduce volatility and strengthen supply for our member-owners.

“This project gives our member-owners a level of control and predictability they’ve never had before,” shared KC Graner, CFS CEO.

We’re proud to be part of a forward-thinking partnership that supports agriculture, innovation, and the long-term success of farmers across our region.
